FAQs

What are JCFS Settlement Services?

JCFS Settlement Services provides the support and resources to help establish a new life in Winnipeg. A Settlement Worker will help you and your family with housing, acquiring necessary documents, registering for schooling, orientation for banking, and many other vital parts of living in Canada.

What are JCFS Integration Services?

JCFS will assist you and your family in becoming part of the Winnipeg Jewish community. In cooperation with the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg and other Jewish community organizations, it will introduce you to the local resources available to Jewish families, including schools, synagogues, youth programs, camps, kosher facilities etc., and provide you opportunities to participate in community activities and events, meet others and make new friends.

Some social and educational events are planned for adults, while others are organized for the whole family. JCFS also organizes free seminars and workshops on topics that are of interest to newcomers and that will make the transition to Canadian life easier.

What are JCFS Employment Services?
